On February 14, 2016 twenty members of Mt. Olivet Baptist in Hartwell Ga, set out on a life changing journey. They embarked on a mission trip to Montrouis, Haiti for one week. What happened in that week changed many lives so much that they knew God was not done with their involvement in this little desperate town in Haiti. This summer, the Bauknight and Reed family were blessed to return to the community.

With the help from our church friends and the kindess of individuals we were able to give over 1,000 pounds of food, school supplies, medicine and clothes to 3 orphanages and many families of the villlage. Several goats were purchased, wormed and distributed as the beginning of a program for long-term help there. Goat milk is not only a source of nutrition but goat breeding can be a pathway out of poverty. We also met so many children that have no possibility of a better life without intervention. The community leaders we worked with do their very best with what little they have.

Our hearts are to help these children so that they can attend school and have at least one guaranteed meal a day. We are striving to be God's hands and feet in this poverty stricken town in Haiti and ask for your prayers and help. We are proof that God uses ordinary people for extraordinary things and invite you to join us to give hope and change lives.
